Table LinensWhen it comes to decorating any themed tablescape, starting off with table linens is definitely a safe bet to set the foundation for the rest of the decor. Because we were aiming to go all out with classic colors to create a perfect Halloween tablescape that invokes the festive holiday spirit to the bone, we decided to shroud our Halloween party table in a vibrant orange-colored crushed crinkle tablecloth. The lovely crinkled textural appeal coupled with the impeccable glint of lustrous taffeta fabric instantly added a glorious festive charm to our table. But considering the orange-hued tabletop decorations we had in mind for our kids’ Halloween party tablescape, we ended up layering a sheer black square organza table overlay on top of our crinkle tablecloth to stylishly balance out the bright orange hues without completely concealing it. In order to bring in a freaky flair to our table decor, we have also unfurled a sage green chiffon fabric bolt along the middle, letting the ends droop down on the floor which perfectly mimicked the green slime oozing out and over the table. The sage green runner not only added a much needed pop of contrasting color to our funky yet classic Halloween color palette but we were sure that it would also highlight our tabletop decorations even more! |

Centerpiece DecorationsOnce we were done layering all our linens on our table, it was now time to focus all our attention on the most fun part of decorating a Halloween party table—the table centerpieces. Since we were looking to imbue an endearingly scary vibe that isn’t too terrifying that’ll scare the kids for life, we decided to settle for eerie yet wicked Halloween centerpieces for kids party. Hence, we have opted for our black Manzanita tree as our main table centerpiece that has got a surreal look to it which worked extremely well with our Halloween themed table decor. Featuring a twisted black-colored trunk with twinkling crystal chains hanging down from the freakishly bare branches that extended towards the top, the black Manzanita tree placed atop a round mirror brought a wickedly stylish charm to our kids’ Halloween party tablescape. |

To make our Halloween table centerpiece a bit more kid-friendly, we decided to summon some friendly ghosts to scare up some grins and giggles from the young crowd. Thus, we ended up drawing inspiration from sheet ghosts and wrapped our scalloped edged paper napkins on 2" white Styrofoam balls securing them with a white satin ribbon. Moreover, in order to make the ghost’s facial features, we have used our stick-on black rhinestones to turn them into creepy yet cute little creatures. While some of the ghosts were attached to the acrylic chains, we arranged others on the branches which emulated the white ghosts hovering over the wicked tree. This DIY craft project is also a fun and interactive Halloween party activity for kids and we bet that they’ll love it! So if you’re looking for ways to keep the munchkins busy until the food is served, hand them the materials and let them create their own ghosts, and hang them on the Manzanita tree to showcase their creativity. |

Additional Tabletop Decor AccentsInstead of using more frightening or gory decorations to pair with our surreal tree centerpiece, we decided to perk up our Halloween party table decorations with lots of bright and peppy accents to usher in a joyous festive flair. Hence, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that pumpkins of every size, shape, and color make an appearance on our kids’ Halloween party table along with gobs of candy corn placed in our glass apothecary candy jars which is every kid’s Halloween dream! Since we wanted to conjure up an authentic Halloween vibe, we have placed two fair-sized fake pumpkins on either end of the table runner and graced the table with an eye-catching small painted pumpkin topiary to introduce more flamboyant hues to our festive Halloween party table. (You can also carve up silly faces on real pumpkins and use them instead to animate your tablescape.) Furthermore, to add a twinkling radiance to our table, we decided to coil our starry purple string lights around the black Manzanita tree and zigzagged it around all the other table decor accents for a magical and whimsical appeal. |

Place settingsAs soon as we were satisfied with our central table decor, place settings were next on the agenda. For our kid’s party table settings, using disposable Halloween party tableware made perfect sense. Hence, we decided to set the stage with our round reef plastic chargers topped with flared black disposable plates to beautifully reinforce the traditional colors and festive Halloween designs into our Halloween table setting. The textured orange reef design chargers beautifully matched with the bright crinkle crushed orange tablecloth underneath whereas, the flared black plates stylishly complemented with the inky black twisted Manzanita tree trunk. We further contrasted the tableware with our white and black striped paper napkins, purple crinkle crushed linen napkins, disposable silver cutlery, and silver cups and glasses for a sleek cohesive flair. Because this tablescape was set for a younger crowd, party favors were a must. So, we also placed a coordinating white and black striped favor box at each place setting for the kids to fill it up with candy corn and other assorted sweet treats while the dessert was served in small black disposable cooking pots that added a witchy flair to our settings. |

Backdrop and Chair DecorAlthough our party table was brimming with delightful Halloween themed decorations, the setup looked a bit incomplete without a backdrop. Hence, to accentuate our table aesthetics up a notch, we decided to swap out our plain curtains with shimmery black sequin curtains that instantly invoked a dark and mysterious ambiance. However, we didn’t just stop there! To add a fascinating charm to our Halloween party backdrop, we adorned the black sequin curtains with our metallic foil purple fringe curtains which contrasted impeccably with the dusky sequin curtains elevating the glitzy glimmering allure tenfold. With the self-adhesive back sticker attaching the foil panels to our rear curtains was truly a cinch. When it came to dressing up our chairs, we wanted chair covers that would harmonize with our shimmery backdrop without being too gaudy. So we placed our bets on our black spandex chair covers with metallic glittering backs that have flawlessly tied everything together as you can see in the setup video! |
